Showcase the natural drape of curtains.
Utilizing high-temperature pressing, this treatment helps the fabric maintain a consistent and structured appearance, ensuring that the pleats or folds stay in place.
If you have had the rod installed, please measure the rod length and record this measurement.
If you do not have the rod installed, mount your rod or track at an appropriate height. We recommend positioning the rod as close to the ceiling as possible to create a more spacious look.
The rod should extend about 6-15 inches beyond each side of the window frame to minimize light leakage and allow sufficient space for curtain stacking.
If you wish to keep the full view of your window, consider the stack-back width in advance.
Per Panel Width = Rod or Track Width / Panel Quantity
Note: If you don't have a rod or track yet, add the window width with an extra 6-15" at each side to figure out the rough rod/track width.
Per Panel Length = Bottom of the track to floor + Bottom
Different Bottom Measurement :
1/2" Above the Floor: -1/2"
Kiss the Floor: 0
Puddling: +2-4"
*Check the bottom options in the glossary below for more details.
Split Panel
Two equal pieces divided from one, width also automatically divided into two. Open in the middle.
Single Panel
A single piece of curtain that is one way draw, allowing open to the left or right. Also for decorative use, serving as a stationary panel.
The ratio between fabric coverage width and the width you wanted to cover over your curtain track or rod. When curtains are crafted with more fabric amount for extra fullness, they create pretty waves gathering at the top.
1X Fullness: Completely flat. Not recommended.
1.5X Fullness: This is not full enough unless you are just covering the window and never shutting the curtains.
2.0X Fullness: What we highly recommend. Being practical for a nice pleated look.
2.5X Fullness: Features a lush look full of rich pleats. Sheer curtains live out loud with this style.
To specify:
If you use a 50" w panel to cover a 50" w area, which is a 1x fullness, the curtains will look extremely flat.
If you go for an 100" w panel to cover the same area, making a 2x fullness. The curtains get a charming wavy look instantly.
* We will customize the optimal fullness for you free using more fabric based on the width of your curtain rod.
Top Pencil Pleat - We will customize 2x fullness for you.
Grommet Top - We will customize 1.8x-2x fullness for you.
Back Tab - We will customize 1.5x fullness for you.

Curtain length. A style of how curtains drape down with different lengths.
1/2" Above the Floor
1/2" off the floor. Crisp look. Easier to vacuum without too much dust, fur, and debris sticking to them. A great choice for busy families.
Kiss the Floor
Floor length, brushing the floor with a streamlined effect.
Puddling
2-4" puddling on the floor. Allowing your drapes to sit with a crease, not just hang straight. It is not recommended for curtains that open and close regularly, as they pick up dust quickly.
- There is enough depth within your window frame to accommodate the mounting hardware.
- You are aiming for a sleek, minimalist aesthetic for your space.
- The window trim is attractive and you wish to showcase it rather than hide it.
- You prefer the window treatment to sit flush with the wall, without protruding into the room.
- Your window frames are sturdy and capable of supporting the necessary hardware.
- The house is relatively new and features standard, uniformly shaped rectangular windows.
- There is an extended window sill that would make an outside mount difficult or impractical.
- Measuring the Width
1. Measure the internal width of your window frame in three separate places: at the top, in the middle, and at the bottom sill.
2. Use the smallest of these three measurements as your starting point.
3. From this smallest measurement, subtract 3/8 of an inch. The result is the final width you should order.
Important Note on Light Gaps: An inside mount will typically leave a small gap of about 1/4 inch on each side between the roller shade and the window frame, which can let some light in. If you are concerned about light leakage, an outside mount is recommended. You can add extra width to an outside-mounted shade to ensure complete coverage.
- Measuring the Height (Length)
1. Measure the internal height of your window frame from the top down to the sill. Take this measurement at three points: on the left, in the center, and on the right.
2. Use the longest of these three measurements as the final height you should order.
- The window frame is too shallow, irregularly shaped, or otherwise unsuitable for an inside mount.
- You want to conceal unattractive or outdated window trim to refresh the window's appearance.
- You need to maximize light blockage and prevent light leakage around the edges of the shade.
- The window frame is too delicate or weak to support the hardware of an inside mount.
- Complete privacy is your top priority, requiring the shades to fully cover the window and block any view from the outside.
- You want to create the illusion that the windows are taller or wider than they are.
- You want to maximize your view when the shade is open by having it clear the entire window glass when rolled up.
- Measuring the Width
Measure the full width of your window frame or trim from the outermost edge to the other. Take this measurement in three locations: the top, middle, and bottom.
Use the widest of these three measurements as your starting point.
For optimal privacy and light control, add 1 to 3 inches to this widest measurement. The final number will be your order width.
For assistance or questions, please feel free to email us at support@dwcnhome.com.
- Measuring the Height (Length)
Determine the desired mounting position for the top of the shade. We highly recommend mounting the headrail 4 to 6 inches above the top of the window frame. This allows the shade to clear the glass when fully rolled up, maximizing your view.
Measure from your chosen mounting point down to the desired bottom edge of the shade (this is typically just below the window sill). This measurement is your order height.
*Note on Mounting: To ensure the rolled-up shade does not obstruct the window, always mount the headrail at least 4 inches above the window frame. This provides the necessary space for the headrail and the rolled-up fabric.

Choose an Inside Mount for Your Window Treatments When:
*For Zebra Shades, we recommend a minimum window depth of 2 inches to ensure the entire shade fits within the window frame. However, since the mounting brackets for Zebra Shades are relatively small in size, if you don’t mind a portion of the shade extending beyond the frame, a minimum depth of 1 1/4 inches is acceptable.
*Please note that an inside mount is designed to ensure the roller shade fits within the window frame. As a result, there may be approximately 1/4" light gaps on each side. If you’re concerned about light leakage, we recommend choosing an outside mount.
Choose an Outside Mount for Your Window Treatments When:
*Outside mount is versatile for different window types, no minimum depth is required. Ideal for any room with shallow sashes or deep window sills.

Use the widest of these three measurements as your starting point.

Considering the fabric fullness for the design. We suggest order 200-230% fabric fullness to create the pleats, ensuring a rich and voluminous look. And please order 200% fabric fullness at least to ensure the perfect effect.
*If you need a fuller look, you can consider adding 250% fullness based on your preference. This is a personal choice, not a requirement.
Per Panel Width = Rod/Track width × Fullness (at least 200%) ÷ Panel Quantity
The default fullness is 1 (or 100%), then you should consider multiply 170-200% fullness for final measured width. 170% fullness will produce a more tailored look, while 200% fullness, which is recommended will create a richer, more opulent appearance.
